Project Highlights
Site Preparation
- ERSM crews cleared and mowed the site, removed invasive species, and prepared the soil to create optimal conditions for successful restoration
Native Planting & Habitat Enhancement
- Installed more than 2,600 native trees and shrubs throughout wetland and buffer areas to enhance habitat function and improve water quality
- Applied mulch around each plant to promote healthy growth, retain soil moisture, and suppress weeds
Public Education & Protection
- Installed 20 educational signs to protect restored areas and encourage community stewardship of sensitive habitats
Outcome
Enhanced wetland and riparian functions, improved water quality, and established a thriving native plant community that supports long-term ecological resilience.
